Wilson Dau received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Xavier University in Bogota, Colombia, with his focus on Energy Efficient Commercial Lighting Systems. He practiced lighting design early in his career and also taught courses at two of South America’s top universities. Wilson has been a guest speaker at several important lighting forums, including Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s (SMUD) Education Center and Light Fair International, North America’s largest lighting trade show; some of his seminars are accredited with AIA and IIDA. During his career he has worked for some of North America’s premier lighting manufacturers specializing in application engineering and sales management before recently going back to his passion: Lighting Design. He is a member and current secretary of the IESNA Office Lighting Committee, a member of the Quality of the Visual Environment Committee, and a past Chair of the Computer Committee. Wilson is Lighting Certified by the NCQLP and a LEED Accredited professional by the USGBC.
